Stemming from a single note on a glockenspiel, over the course of a year Solstice has grown into a semi-autobiographical account of the childhood experience of winter time.

By using a sonic palette of pianos, strings, live drums, foley samples and synthesisers, Solstice blends the purity obtained from acoustic recordings with the technical manipulation only possible in electronic music production.

The purpose of Solstice is to engulf the listener into an imagined world, inducing a feeling of wonder and childlike Zen.
